FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. How can I open a ticket?
A. You can do so by
clicking here.
Q. How can I "secure" my website so that browsers show a lock next to my domain name instead of seeing "Not secure" next to it?
A. You have to log into your hosting account at www.accountsupport.com/controlpanel.
Then, click on "Domain Central" tab and click on your displayed domain name. Then click on the "Security" tab - you'll then find out whether your SSL is curently 'enabled' or 'disabled'.
Be sure the SSL is ENABLED. If it is not, click the box to "Enable Free SSL".
This next step may be required to ensure that both the non-www [mywebsite.com] and www [www.mywebsite.com] part of your web address show that your website is secure.
In the file manager, switch from 'Manage Files & Directories' to 'Settings', and verify that the box 'Show System Files' is checked. If it is not, check the box. Now switch back to
'Manage Files & Directories' and click the green pencil to edit the file called '.htaccess'. Copy and Paste the code below on to the blank page and click the 'Save' button.

Q. What is domain name "masking"?
A. What masking does is show your domain name instead of our website's address and directory.
Q. Are there disadvantages to domain name "masking"?
A. Yes. If the visitor 'refreshes' a web page, other than the main page, he/she will always be taken back to your 'home page'. Another disadvantage is that if the visitor saves the website in his/her favorites file, the original web page site location will be saved, not the masked web address.
Q. How will I make changes to my website once it's up and running?
A. You simply login to your account and enter your user id and password. Then, follow our simple tutorial to update the pages you want.
Q. Why is it that when I make text changes to my website, the 'old' text is still there?
A. More than likely the issue is that your computer has 'cached' your website and is still showing you the 'old' page.
To remedy the problem, just click on the 'refresh' button located at the top of your web browser's toolbar, or you can simply hit the 'F5'
key on your computer's keyboard. This will display your updated page. If the problem still exists, you didn't
save your new text when you updated it in the control panel. [See our page entitled UPDATING THE TEXT OF YOUR WEBSITE for a quick review.
Q. Can you design a logo for my website?
A. Yes. But you'll need to keep in mind that we are website designers, NOT graphic designers. If you want
a top-quality high-resolution logo, have it designed by a graphic artist. If you or your graphic designer provide us your logo, we will then be able to use it on your website.
Q. Will I be able to maintain my website myself without knowledge of website design?
A. Yes and no. We design the site; you'll be easily able to update the text using our simple tutorial and your website's online Control Panel.
If it's other things you want to add [photos, flyers, etc] you'll need to know aspects of the HTML programming language.
